Or what about in interview or public speaking? All these situations can make you exhibit symptoms of nervousness where you become restless, you start to sweat, your hands and feet feel cold, and you feel a little diarrheic.

Apparently, nervousness is a common problem by several people. And no matter how prepared you are for that event, it can still eat you and get your mind off your concentration. It might be a normal mechanism, but it plays a big difference if you know how to remove nervousness. Overcome it by following our tips below.

How to Get Rid of Nervousness

Experiencing anxiety and feeling that there are some butterflies in the stomach is quite acceptable since it expands your perception thus making you more alert. However, when it progresses to something extremely disturbing such as panic attacks and nervous breakdown, it can be so not fun. how do you relieve being nervous? Read on.

  • Always come prepared. Nothing beats coming all ready for whatever event that is – be it a date or interview. Think about possible conversations or questions that may arise during the period and practice how you are going to answer them.
  • Yes, practice really makes perfect. With this, try standing in front of the mirror, let go of your shyness, and be confident about you are going to speak in front of the crowd.
  • On the day of the presentation, make sure that you perform deep breathing exercises before the event. This will help soothe your nerves thus relieving tension.
  • Focus on your thoughts and stop caring about what other people might say when performing.  Oftentimes, we care too much about what other people will say which is why we tend to get mental blocked thus aggravating the nervousness felt.
  • Relax, be yourself, and think about positive thoughts. Never allow negativity to create an avenue which can ruin your presentation.
  • Finally, you should also avoid caffeine, alcohol, and illegal drinks which can affect your nervous system thus contributing to restlessness and nervousness.

The state of being nervous may not be an easy thing to fight since controlling it requires numerous exposures to what is making you feel nervous. However, with the tips mentioned above, you’ll surely be able to deal and get rid of it.
