  • Mix a teaspoon of baking sod and a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Blend the mixture evenly and with a syringe, squirt a small amount on the nose. Blow your nose softly afterwards.
  • Cut back consumption of dairy products as well as sweet ones as they can contribute to the production of excessive mucus.
  • Humidity level in the room should also be maintained by keeping a humidifier. This may be suitable especially for babies.
  • Get rid of the allergens and pollutants which only aggravate the condition.
  • Take medicines such as antihistamines and nasal sprays. However, observe use of medication as indicated. Do not overdose or observe prolonged use.
