Benzoyl peroxide may be dabbed on the skin to kill the bacteria causing the problem. The ingredient sits in the skin thus targeting the annoying zits in the affected area. Other home remedies may also be used to help heal zits found below the skin’s surface. Included are:
- Toothpaste – does toothpaste cure zits fast? For a temporary relief, yes. This can be dabbed on the part where pimples are present, allow it to sit overnight, and rinse off upon awakening.
- Baking Soda – baking soda dissolved in water may be made into a pasty consistency and be applied on the pimple for atleast 20 minutes to help improve the condition.
- Hot compress – with a soak cloth, apply a hot compress on the site to help draw the pus out and eventually relieve cystic acne.
- Honey / Lemon Juice – they both have antiseptic properties thus they can be either massaged on the skin or drank to see improvement from the area.
When worse comes to worst though, and none of the suggested remedies seem to work for you, then might as well seek the help of a dermatologist just so you’ll be given antibiotic prescription which can be beneficial in getting rid of the painful and irritating nodular acne.
